12      DESCRIPTION
13           mkfilebeatinstaller and mkwinlogbeat installer are two NSIS
14           scripts which create executable installers for the elastic
15           beat programs filebeat and winlogbeat in the familiar Win-
16           dows "Next, Next, Done" install wizard style.  Execution of
17           the scripts requires the makensis(1) command, generally
18           available from the nsis package on Linux distributions.

20           The scripts package the beat configuration files, the exe-
21           cutable command and license files. On installation, the
22           files are copied to the Program Files directory. A standard
23           windows service is registered which starts the beat's exe
24           file.  uninstall.exe removes the installation directory and
25           removes the service from the windows service registry.

27           mkbeatinstaller will download the compiled Windows distribu-
28           tion of beat from Elastic, then run the matching beat
29           installer generation script.
